Not far from CasaTortuga you will find Thomas Freddy’s kite school XKite, the undisputed kite guru on Lake Garda.
In his many years of teaching, Thomas has developped a method that will allow you to feel the emotions of kitesurfing by yourself within couple of days.

You may walk the paths leading you castles from the Middle Ages up onto Garda’s gorges or have a stroll through the villages discovering Renaissance Palaces, go down the streets of the first world war or follow routes that will take you from one beach to another. Trekking and nordic walking routes on Lake Garda.
Torbole and the Garda Lake offer numerous opportunities for recreation, sports, entertainment, relaxation for all those who wish to spend a holiday. Trekking routes are countless excursions of great scenic interest.
The main summer and winter hiking trails are: CROSSING THE LEDRO VALLEY - LIMONE, MONTE ALTISSIMO DI NAGO-TORBOLE (BALDO), TENNO LAKE - CANALE - RIFUGIO S.PIETRO.

The village stands on a calcareous slope on the sides of Mount Baldo with the houses set in an amphitheatre on the bay.
Given its ventilated position and the prohibition of motorboats use, this has become an internationally-renown sailing and wind-surfing centre and represents an authentic heaven for the enthusiasts who consider this area as one of the best places to practise water sports. The area of Nago-Torbole also includes the Mount Baldo Nature Park which is called "The Garden of Europe" because of its botanical richness.
Torbole: From the panoramic steps behind the tourist office a 1 Km asphalted road rises along the hill untill the “ Parco Busatte “. In the pine-wood around the sporting centre there is a nice fitness path. Otherwise a second path starting from the parking leads to Dosso Tenin and the village of Nago. We suggest you rest by the panoramic points and enjoy the beautiful views over the village, the harbour and the lake below.
Torbole: These glacial basins were formed by the erosive action of the Ice Age glaciers (130.000-10.000 a. C.).. They are situated along the side of the main road which goes from Torbole to Nago. You can reach these interesting erosions following the sign Marmitte dei Giganti.
Lake Garda is particularly charming. The colour blue of the water is more intense, the sunlight more vivid and the air is oxygenated by the mountains and purified by the Lake Garda breeze which blows and fills the colored sails of the windsurfers. The beaches, surrounded by vegetation or steep rocks, are wide and sunny. The Mediterranean vegetation consisting of olive trees, lemon trees, palms and bay trees, record the changing of the seasons. Here, where the lake ends and the Brenta Dolomites start, the tourist can enjoy a splendid holiday full of opportunities: history, art, sports and nature, the warm welcome, the excellent hotel facilities and the characteristic restaurants.
Riva del Garda and its charming center, you will find the Rocca built in 1124 to defend the lake, today it is the seat of the Civic Museum and of the Picture Gallery. Baroque buildings such as the church of the Inviolata and the one dedicated to S. M. Assunta are also of great interest. The city offers its tourists the opportunity to practise all sports according to the taste: sailing, surfing, sports angling, walking, bowls, cycling, tennis, climbing, canoeing, etc.
